Day Five

I have been singing my heart out today :) Laying down vocals on " Let's Start Over". I noticed how much fun it is to sing in front of a fireplace. The whole atmosphere here just makes everything so easy.
We are almost finished with this track and it feels so good. I hope to share it with you soon :)

My guitarist and bass player are learning the harmonies to our new song :) They are so cute!!!

Life is supposed to be fun...

The album is almost done. We only have 3 songs left to work on, then it's off to mixing and mastering. While everything is moving faster and faster I try to stay centered and remember to have as much fun as I possibly can in every single moment, because now is all I have and life is supposed to be fun :).

The Professional Funhavers

As some of you know my live band is called "The Professional Funhavers"
We take our job seriously…
See I have a vision for my band. I want them to look like the "Men in Black" but instead of black suits I would like them to wear pink suits and purple shirts, and heart shaped sunglasses instead of Ray-Bans.
I want them to walk on stage in a very serious manner and open their attache cases and take out their super cool glasses and start working/smiling :)
I Just have to convince them that this is the right image for us... Hmmm... I will work on that one!

Why do we consider some love handles ugly? or a crack showing when someone bends down low disgusting?

I was just wondering how anything on our beautiful bodies could be considered ugly... so I wrote a song about that today… Let it all hang out!!!

Today I'm recording with Marco Deb aka Baloo. The song is called "Got to" and all the sounds are mouth made by us, Asha (my dog) and some birds and hopefully more people will join us soon. I really enjoy this creative process it's challenging, playful and a fun at the same time. It feels like I get to include and document my whole world in this process, by recording people and beings that I love and appreciate... next I'm going to try to get my boyfriend to whistle on this track :)

Recording Grow Up!

I had loads of fun recording Grow Up - Loveolution Remix. The best part was that the recording was so effortless! Me and Marco (my producer) just had fun and started to play, sing and dance just like kids do.

We were clinking on jars and glasses and we recorded some mouth made drums.

It's so nice to be able to work from home sometimes even though i like some studios, my place is the best!!!!
