Professional Funhaving :)

Today has been a lovely day, I had Tea together with my team of awesomeness at Himmelska Hundar, a Dog Café in Stockholm. I love that place because Asha (A wonderful dog that shares my life) is treated like any other family member and gets to sit in her own chair and eat a snack like the rest of us. After the tea we went outside in Tessinparken and did what we do best, PLAY, have fun and climb trees. I truly appreciate these moments with my best friends, Olof aka Sling Fingers, Asha aka Yoda and Marco aka Baloo. We are the Professional Funhavers. We are Family :)

There was once a wave in the ocean, rolling along, enjoying the warmth of the sun and the swiftness of the breeze.
It smiled at everything around it as it made its way toward the shore.

But then, it suddenly noticed that the waves in front of it, one by one, were striking against the cliff face, being savagely broken to pieces.

‘Oh God!’ it cried. ‘My end will be just like theirs. Soon I, too, will crash and disappear!’


Just then another wave passing by saw the first wave’s panic and asked:

‘Why are you so anxious? Look how beautiful the weather is, see the sun, feel the breeze…’


The first wave replied:

‘Don’t you see? See how violently those waves before us strike against the cliff, look at the terrible way they disappear. We’ll soon become nothing just like them.’


‘Oh, but you don’t understand,’ the second wave said. ‘You’re not a wave. You’re a part of the ocean.’

Appreciation

I love this spot next to one of the the windows in the living room. I often sit here and contemplate, drink a RAW smoothie and sometimes enjoy a good book. I really appreciate that I have this cozy spot in my home. Clarity always flows my way while I'm relaxing here.

Alignment...

This past week has brought me a lot of clarity and faith. I now ask for courage and trust to help me on my way. I enjoy working on this book and CD, and I want to do the best I can and truly respond to my ability. This creative project is growing in size and more and more pieces are falling into place every day. I am learning how to relax and enjoy the ride and to treat myself good.... Today I celebrated life by eating a wonderful Asian inspired dinner, and I topped it of with a delicious raw dessert.

Tofu rubbed in peanut butter and sea salt fried together with mushrooms marinated in soy sauce with ginger, chili, leek and some soy sauce marinated zucchini. I served this with some rice noodles and a salad.

First I mixed almonds, cashews, and some raw cocoa. Then I added 2 bananas and some raisins and 5 dried apricots. I served it with raspberries. It was DELICIOUS!

Inspired..

I am so happy today. I have had a beautiful day full of new insights and inspiration.
And just as I thought it couldn't get any better, a friend on Facebook posted this wonderful video. These guys are amazing, now I feel SUPER inspired :)

Celebration!

Today I am celebrating that positive change is happening in Senegal!
A wonderful organization called Tostan (which means breakthrough in Wolof) reports that:
Over the past decade, over 90% of the 5,000 communities estimated to practice FGC (Female Genital Cutting) in Senegal have publicly abandoned this harmful tradition along with child/forced marriage.
This is great news! Love and awareness is spreading across the globe, we are evolving... this is reason to celebrate!

 

Productive Sunday.

Today I spent most of the day tying up loose ends, and it feels great!!!
I finally got my kitchen lamp up! (Thank you Olof)
The lack of a proper lamp in the kitchen has been bugging me for a long time, and  now suddenly it feels like a huge weight has dropped from my shoulders.  I have learned about the disadvantages of procrastination, and how easy life can be when I stop believing that things are hard.
I'm ending this night with a nice cup of herbal tea.. the present moment feels soooo good :)

Nice and warm :)

Sometimes when I spend long hours in front of the computer my hands tend to get cold. But I have fixed that problem with these beautiful wrist warmers that I bought at Akantus  (I'll write more about this lovely shop in another post soon) in Visby.

LP plates?

I'm in love...., Last night at dinner the chefs at La Masia in Visby served us a delicious Broccoli Soup "on the house" in these beautiful LP "look-alike" plates. I will go back there today to ask them where I can buy them.
